Position Summary

GC2IT is seeking an experienced and highly motivated Director of Finance / Corporate Controller to lead our accounting and financial operations. This role is responsible for managing all day-to-day accounting, financial reporting, and budgeting functions while ensuring compliance with GAAP, FAR, and government contracting requirements. The ideal candidate is a hands-on leader with deep expertise in Deltek Costpoint, strong knowledge of government contracting, and the ability to serve as a strategic partner to the CFO.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead all core accounting functions, including general ledger, accounts payable/receivable, payroll, billing, and project accounting
  • Oversee the monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close processes, ensuring accuracy and timeliness
  • Prepare and review financial statements in accordance with FAR and GAAP and regulatory requirements
  • Manage the company’s budgeting and forecasting processes, including variance analysis and financial reporting to leadership
  • Ensure compliance with FAR, DCAA, and other government contracting regulations
  • Develop, monitor, and analyze indirect rates (G&A, fringe, overhead)
  • Support DCAA audits, incurred cost submissions, and provisional billing rate proposals
  • Serve as the subject matter expert for Deltek Costpoint and drive system optimization and process improvements
  • Establish and maintain strong internal controls and audit-ready financial processes
  • Provide CFO with financial insights, strategic analysis, and decision support
  • Lead, mentor, and develop the finance and accounting team

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in finance and/or Accounting (required)
  • Master’s degree in finance, Business Administration (MBA), or related field (required)
  • Minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in corporate finance or accounting
  • Significant experience in a government contracting environment strongly preferred
  • Expert-level proficiency in Deltek Costpoint (required)
