Position Summary

The Training Manager leads the planning, governance, and execution of mission systems and systems integration training programs supporting the development, integration, and fielding of Air Defense Command and Control (C2) capabilities.

This role provides oversight of Mission Systems Course Developers and SCE/Network Course Developers to ensure training products accurately reflect system builds, integration milestones, cybersecurity requirements, and deployment configurations. The Training Manager ensures instructional content supports operational realism, technical accuracy, and lifecycle sustainment objectives.

The position emphasizes project management, cross-functional coordination, configuration alignment, and customer engagement while maintaining familiarity with C2 mission systems and technical infrastructure architectures. This position is contingent upon contract award.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop Training Evaluation plan to capture training assessments, effectiveness, and performance.
  • Lead development and execution of the Training Program Structure Document (TPSD).
  • Establish training standards, curriculum baselines, and documentation controls.
  • Oversee instructional design efforts across mission systems and technical infrastructure domains.
  • Ensure training products remain aligned with system configuration changes.
  • Manage schedules, deliverables, and resource allocation for training development efforts.
  • Coordinate training milestones with integration, test, and deployment timelines.
  • Track risks affecting training readiness and ensure mitigation prior to customer delivery.
  • Conduct Integrated Product Reviews (IPRs) and provide executive-level status reporting.
  • Ensure mission systems training incorporates weapons employment, surveillance workflows, and Tactical Data Link interoperability considerations.
  • Ensure SCE/Network training reflects accurate virtualization, cybersecurity, and infrastructure configuration practices.
  • Oversee integration of distributed training architectures and Modeling & Simulation environments into curriculum.
  • Serve as primary interface for customer training coordination.
  • Support Business Development efforts with training inputs for proposals and demonstrations.
  • Ensure student evaluation reporting and after-action feedback are incorporated into curriculum updates.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum eight (8) years of experience supporting defense training development or instructional program management.
  • Experience managing cross-functional technical teams.
  • Familiarity with C2 mission systems and distributed architectures.
  • Familiarity with technical infrastructure supporting virtualized C2 environments.
  • Experience coordinating training development aligned to system integration or fielding programs.
  • Active Secret clearance (or ability to obtain and maintain).

Desired Qualifications:

  • Former operational C2 experience (13B or 1C5 background preferred) or service equivalent.
  • Instructor or Evaluator experience.
  • Experience integrating distributed C2 training architectures.
  • Experience working with ADSI, ASCOT, or BC3 systems.
  • Experience managing OEM course integration.
  • Operational-level planning experience.
